Our work team is a fundamental piece in the development of the company
Much of what we have obtained is attributable to the work carried out by the nearly 45 people who work permanently in our field, who are adding hundreds more at harvest time. As relevant as complying with the problems and standards, is the smile, the kind treatment that is expressed every day and see how year by year each of the team members evolve, both professionally and personally. They are the pillar and support of the future of this company and that of their families. Working at El Canelillo is a tradition that is passed from generation to generation. That is why it is not strange to find parents and children in different areas of the organization or those who have been working for more than 20 years, building relationships and bonds of a true family.
Caring for the earth and nature are the fundamental principles of our vision
That is why in El Canelillo we have cared for and kept intact all affected native forests, characterized by species such as boldos, quillayes, peumos and litres. These extensive areas haven’t been intervened with productive work.
We carry out an agricultural activity in harmony with the environment, which maintains the natural balances of the place where we are located, which is also supported by the demanding international certifications we have obtained and which are strict in this area.
We also protect the fauna of the place, prohibiting and controlling the poaching of the species that inhabit and develop within our fields. This has allowed eagles, foxes and other animals and birds grown in natural conditions, without intervention of their ecosystem.
Faithful to the vision of the founder of El Canelillo, we have developed parks and gardens that have a permanent care and maintenance, in order to make this field a beautiful and pleasant place to work
A link between the company and the community of Lo Rojas
This close and respectful relationship has been made through the Board of Neighbors and the small rural school of the sector, where children arrive to study after walking miles and that has stood out for its academic results. For years we have generated workshops and talks with the students of the school so that they know and learn about the productive processes and their interaction with nature. With this we seek to convey the harmonic relationship that must exist between agriculture and the environment, as well as the revaluation of life and work in the field. These activities with the students are carried out by the workers of El Canelillo, who in many cases are fathers or mothers of some of the students, thus generating a close relationship between work and family. Along with participating in these educational instances, children and young people also share moments of recreation in our company, taking advantage of its parks and gardens as beautiful meeting places. Our company has also strengthened this link with the surrounding community, through the relationship with local suppliers, in areas such as transportation and bee pollination. An example of the latter is Don Leonel Saavedra, a neighbor beekeeper in the sector that has been providing services for more than a decade, in a mutually beneficial link that has allowed him to grow and develop in tandem with El Canelillo.
